Von Anfang Mai bis Ende Juni 2023 wird Professor Dr. Péter D. Szigeti SJD (Harv.), LL.M. (Harv.), Master (Paris 1) am Juridicum sein. Herr Szigeti arbeitet an der University of Alberta, Edmonton, Faculty of Law in Kanada. In Wien unterrichtet er als Fellow des Instituts für Rechts- und Verfassungsgeschichte im Sommersemester 2023 einen Kurs über „History of Citizenship and Migration Law“.
Herrn Szigetis Kurs „History of Citizenship and Migration Law“ wird ab der zweiten Maiwoche 2023 abgehalten.

Péter D. Szigeti erhielt an der Harvard Law School sowohl seinen LL.M. als auch seinen SJD. Zuvor absolvierte er an der Université Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) einen Master of International Law and International Organizations, und er erhielt an der ELTE Universität, Budapest einen J.D. Er war Hauser Global Post-Doctoral Fellow an der NYU (2017–2018) und Boulton Fellow 2016–2017 an der McGill University, Faculty of Law, Montréal, Quebec, Kanada, wo er auch unterrichtete.

Zu seinen aktuellen Forschungsschwerpunkten zählen/gehört comparative immigration and citizenship law; the interactions between property law and environmental law; jurisdiction in international law; and the role of geography in law.
