Shuqin Mei

From mid-May until July 2024, we hosted Shuqin Mei, a PhD candidate in Laws at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as a visiting researcher supervised by the Chair for Globalisation and Legal Pluralism, Prof. Dr. Lena Foljanty.

Shuqin Mei’s research focuses on human trafficking and specifically trafficking in women, bridging two research fields at the Department of Legal and Constitutional History: legal gender studies and globalisation processes in law. Her research stay was supported by an Ernst Mach Grant of OeAD, Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation.
